Pandemic Doesn’t Stop Wedding Planning

Pandemic Doesn’t Stop Wedding Planning

We were thrilled to be able to present the 33rd Annual Duluth Wedding Show at the DECC on March 14th. After a year of changing guidelines, delayed dates, and endless coordination with vendors and our venue, we are happy to announce the Duluth Wedding Show was a success.

We have so much gratitude for our vendors, that hung in there with us through all the changes, our venue, the DECC and their amazing staff that worked elbow-to-elbow with us to meet the states pandemic event guidelines, and our attendees that came, saw, and planned!

Our pandemic plan including special restrictions on attendance with all tickets being purchased in advance. When guests arrived at the show they were temp checked, required to wear masks, and asked to maintain social distance on the show floor. Our exhibitors were spaced 10 feet apart with some static displays between booths, and our aisles were 18 feet wide, providing plenty of room to move around while maintaining space. Vendors providing food samples had it pre-packaged and attendees were required to eat and drink in a special area of the show floor where they could remove their mask.

It was amazing to feel the energy of an event again. Over 200 brides planned their wedding during the show this year, and while we couldn’t actually see their smiles (#maskup) we could feel them!
